VFolders are different "profiles" or collections of banks 0 - 9.
These are especially useful when traveling. VFolder 0 may be your "local" stuff, while the rest may be elsewhere.

Actually it is the entire active scanner memory, including all settings, like display text, light settings, priority channel, etc. If you use Win96 software virtually everything you can program in a single template (file) can be maintained in a V-Folder. If you are using that software, you can access the V-Folders on your radio via the Scanner - Virtual Scanner... menu items.
Thanks All! I've been programming it with Win96 for well over a year so I guess I've got it all. (I mistakenly suspected that the V-Folders were additional memory I wasn't utilizing, so I asked.)
