Problem with my pro 668 cutting out every 6-7 seconds while receiving

When I am receiving conventional FM frequencies (and also trunked I think), the transmission cuts out every 6-7 seconds.

Constant cutting out almost like its resetting something every 7 seconds.

Is there any settings I might have missed to cause this to happen? Any advice is good advice. Thanks

I answered this in your other post and it looks like you responded on that post, but I'll post the solution here as well for anyone else who has the same problem.

It sounds like you accidentally turned on the Weather Priority setting, which is by default every 6 seconds. What this does is check whatever weather channel you have marked every 6 seconds for the weather alert tone. You can actually hear the interruption in the scanner recording each time it clicks and misses words. It just does not include the extremely noticeable silence in between.

You can follow the instructions found in the Easier to Read Pro-668/PSR800 Digital Scanner and EZ-Scan/iScan Software Manual to disable it. The link should bring you directly to the appropriate section.
