I just received a Radio Shack Pro-95 Scanner, and this is my first one. While trying to figure out all the bells and whistles, I noticed that when I try to scan, the screen will say "123456789-All Channels Locked!"

I can't find anything in the booklet that will solve this problem. What do I do?

Thanks!

That just means that you have not entered any frequencies yet, and hence all channels are blank. If you enter a single channel in any bank, that will go away. :)

OK that's funny!

Yep, it has one thousand channels!
well it has space for 1000 channels!
You get to program them in, and then assign them an Alpha tag too!
And don't forget the talk group ids!
It only took me 3 hours. Use a pencil eraserto press the buttons.
Or you can get the software and type it all in.
Either way figure out how you want to organize your groups
before putting them in, fire, EMS, Police, by county or district.

And just be glad you don't need crystals.....
1000 times $9.95!

It looks like Radio Shack sold a slew of Pro95's for Xmas.
New scanner users take note: as long as it will pick up radio systems in your area (no digital, no apco 25) You will get the hang of it.
And you will like it. About evey question you may have about it
can be answered thru Radio Reference.com
Also there are a couple of Pro95 boards on Yahoo Groups.
Need frequencies? Look under headings for your state elsewhere on this web site. It's all here somewhere.

All chanels are lock out because you have nothing in your scanner or maybe beccause the channels that you might of enter you might of lock out. Check them to see if they don't have a "L" on the first libe of the Screen.
