Im new to the era of Digital Scanning, and i just bought the Pro-106, and it seems even when I input all the trunked frequencies for the city I live in, I still get only silence. But I have no problems getting the Conventional Freqs to work. Thats no problem, its when I try to program the trunked groups do I get problems.Dont Laugh, but the last time i owned a hand-held police scanner, it was the model where you had to go to Radio-Shack and buy the specific crystals if you wanted to hear police, fire, ect. and you had to actually open up the back and change crystals in the banks, and no such thing as a display,. Thats how long it has been since I was into scanners. I tried to follow the instructions in teh Pro-106 book. and inputed the trunked Freqs from this site. but all i get is a signal but silence..Maybe im not putting in the correct codes,. Anyway any help would be nice,.

Thanks

Hi mkaufer05,welcome to RadioReference :)

If you wouldn't mind letting us know the name of the trunking system you are trying to monitor, someone may be familiar with it and be able to lend a hand.

Hi Welcome to RR:). As mciupa said let us know what county and state you are from. I might be able to help you. I have a Pro 106 that I program by hand and there are few others on here also that program theirs by hand. Are you programming by hand or using software to program it?

Alright I will help you the best I can. For Burbank,CA you need to put in a custom table for the trunked groups.
