Thank you I have downloaded Sentinal
You can either use "location based" scanning to load frequencies based on your zip code, the range selected, and the Service types you have enabled.
Or, create a Favorites list with exactly what you
do want to hear, and then customize your list editing text tags if desired. In Sentinel, you can Append systems from the main database to a Favorites list, then modify it as you want. There are several YouTube videos out there illustrating how it's done.
To see what the scanner would load for your location, if using 'location based scanning':
Start Sentinel
Make sure that you have your correct location in the software-
Click on the icon of a pencil over a tablet. That's right under the "V" in "View".
If you mouse over that icon, it will say "Edit Profile".
In the dialog box that brings up, you'll see a tab where you can set your location.
On the Service Types tab, enable those you wish to hear by making sure they are checked.
Once you've done these two things, you can close the Profile Editor window.
Now, at the main Sentinel window:
Click on "Edit" to bring down the menu choices
Select "Add channels in range"
You'll get a pop-up box to confirm the location (it will show the latitude & longitude, based on the zip code, city name, or actual latitude/longitide if you entered that in lieu of the zip code or city name), as well as showing the Service Types status.
If all is ok, then click OK.
You'll then have the option to either add the "channels in range" to an existing Favorites list, or create a new one for this trial run.
The software will then add the channels based on your selected range, location, and service types. If you like what you see, fine, Or, you can look more closely and remove the items not of interest.
