I am programing a pro-2051 EDACS

When programing frequencies; Do all frequencies have to be in order as a whole, or just in order by site?

EDACS Programming

When programming an EDACS system you must remember that the frequencies must be programmed in Logical Channel Numbering (LCN) order. That order is whatever order that the frequencies were programmed into the particular repeater site that you wish to monitor. If you have the Las Vegas Scanner Book 4th edition and look at the EDACS sites for the State's NHP system you will see that each site lists the frequencies in a particular order. Frequencies can rise and fall on a given site. Simply program them in the correct order and you are done.

One other point, never use channel 0 (zero) as the first channel in your radio when programming an EDACS system. Always use channel 1 or the first channel in another bank. Lastly, never program two or more EDACS sites into one bank.

Hope this helps you.

So if I understand you correctly, NHP being the example, if I want to program multiple sights (ie: Potasi, Sloan, Primm), I would have to do them on seperate banks?

You are correct. In the South area Sloan seems to work very well and Sunrise works well for the central and North valley areas.

Nhp Nsrs

Yes, there are several including one at Beaver Dam, UT which serves the area near Mesquite, one near Overton, and one other outside Vegas to the east.
