Programming A Scanner

Good morning i am very new to this new wave in scanners in the Conventional side is there ctcss and dcs tone codes, and do i have to made a tone code table so i can hear the tone on the scanner? Also to have a fav's list what do i have to do to make that?

No Home Patrol 1 just old conventional scanners but buying a new Gre600 this month and trying to figure things out ahead of time one more thing to have 2 scan lists what do i need to do to make that is there a artticale on that that will tell me how to do that? is there anyone on here from stark county Ohio that i could talk to? thank you Perry Martin

There is definetely people from your area on here, so I would suggest asking in the Ohio Radio Discussion Forum in the Regional forums area. Maybe someone could share a file with you. :)

If you purchase the 600 it will come with a programing cable and you are already a Premium Subscriber of RadioReference, with that take a look at this software and Guide and get a head start on what's involved in importing data from RR and uploading it to your scanner:
