The way I have my NW Ohio Regional P25 system and MARCS-IP programmed relies heavily on quick keys. I have both in a Favorites List called “Ohio Public Safety.” Both systems are on separate System Quick Keys, and I have the departments grouped on Department Quick Keys. For example, I have western Lucas County departments on one quick key, Lucas County Sheriff on one quick key, Toledo departments on one quick key, Oregon and Eastern Lucas County on one quick key, Maumee, UT, and Ottawa Hills on one quick key, and Fulton Co, Wood Co, and Henry Co on their own Department Quick Keys.
It works well for me as it scans quickly but it’s not always terribly quick to track events. I’m not sure if this is a factor of my programming setup or my general hamhandedness.
