Programming for LTR

I am trying to monitor WPMU426 on my BCD396T. The system has five frequencies in 451 MHz range, and has clear analog audio. I can monitor the frequencies "conventionally" and its pretty active. I set it up as an LTR (I could not hear any sort of control/data channel), and from time to time it does latch onto a conversation... but its sporatic... I arbitrarily entered the frequencies in order, lowest to highest, then reversed from highest to lowest. Lowest to highest seemed to work better, but conversations are still very sporadic. Also, when it does lock up, and display a "talkgroup" id, the id changes from time to time for the same conversation...

Any suggestions?

You must enter the frequencies on an LTR system in the channel slots on your scanner that match the logical channel numbers used by the system. Except for the lack of a control channel, LTR is programmed into Uniden scanners (and certain Radio Shack models) the same way as EDACS.

Many radio systems, possibly including the one you are looking to hear, have multiple licenses. If you do a FCC license search for the FRN 0001800465, you will see the 49 licenses that they have under that FRN. Some systems will have multiple freqs from different licenses at the same site.
I would suggest entering all of the UHF ones in conventionally and see if you get more of the conversations.
