DSDPlus Programming Provoice trunk

I'm trying to set up DSD+ to listen to an EDACS Provoice Trunk. I have the frequencies in LCN, have found what DSD+ identifies as a control channel, can see the data stream, but DSD-VC doesn't seem to receive it nor does FMP24 generate any voice channels. Nothing loads in the CC Channel Activity window.

Here is how I have it set up in DSDplus.frequencies. I'm missing something obvious, but I can't see what it is. DSDPlus set the bandwith to 7.5,.

DSD+ does not track EDACS systems. If you want to decode ProVoice from an EDACS system, you must use another program to track the system (e.g. Unitrunker), piping the voice into DSD+ via some sort of virtual audio cable.

Thanks. Oddly enough the program recognized Pro Voice which just made me think that it would track the trunk.

ProVoice is merely the digital voice modulation used on an EDACS system. Think of it like a Motorola Type II system with P25 CAI as the digital voice modulation. Of course both system types started out life as analog voice only, digital voice came to both later on. Anyway, EDACS is the trunked system type, ProVoice is the digital modulation. Related, but not the same.

On a related note, if anybody wanted to trunk track an EDACS system on a Raspberry Pi or a Linux system, they can check out my old project EDACS-FM. It can run in one dongle or two dongle mode, works with Standard/Networked Systems or EA Systems with or without ESK, and can also remote control DSD-FME if its operating with rtl dongle input to tune to LCN channels and decode ProVoice. It can also be set up with sites and frequencies, and groups and labels, and allows to block groups or allow groups.

The 325P2 has CC Output as an option. I'm not that interested, but if I were, would that be sufficient to feed DSDPlus the channel data? Or would it not work?

DSD+ only decodes ProVoice if you feed those traffic channels to the software. It does nothing with EDACS trunking, as previously stated.

EDACS-FM can't find LCNs on its own, you have to predefine them in a csv file first. EDACS systems don't have any sort of band plan or channels that correlate to a direct RF channel, so you just have to know what it is ahead of time (either documented already, or via discovery/trial and error through observation) and set it up. If you land it on a CC without a site set up, it just shows 0s for the LCN channel frequencies and won't attempt to tune anything, but it will still decode the activity on the CC regardless.

It might would be possible to have your scanner decode the CC, and tune to the proper LCN frequency and have DSD+ decode the line in audio for you, if it has a discriminator tap, I'm not really very familiar with scanners in general though, I don't know if any scanner comes with a disc tap built in, or if they all require modification to make it happen.

So, I'd need software that decodes EDACS data, but I don't know if the 325P2 would be able to feed that to DSDPlus. I know it will decoded it, but obviously without the Provoice upgrade, I'll get no audio.

Unitrunker V2 also does EDACS systems with ProVoice and Analog voice channels as well, and will even decode the ProVoice internally as well from what I understand. I can't help you with it since I really don't use it, but others here do as well as the Unitruker google group, so if you have sdr devices already (pretty sure you need more than 1 for unitrunker and edacs, not really sure) you can set that software up in windows to listen to that EDACS system. I don't have the links to the software, but its been talked about a million times on the forum lately, or you know, google search for it.
