Programming talk groups

I am having a problem programming talk groups into my new Uniden BC 796D. I have some frequencies programmed but can not figure out how to get my talk groups programmed into trunks. can any one give me any advice? :?

The menu pretty well leads you down the path. The key is to make sure that you start on MENU -> 2:SCAN OPTION -> 2:TRUNK before you start trying to do anything. Once you pick the frequency bank you are working with, the next screen gives you 11 choices, you need to pick 3:TALK GROUP for entering the TG's. Of course you must have already chosen the type under 1:TRUNK TYPE so that the proper TG's can be entered.

Adding Talk Group ID’s and Alpha Tags

1. Press Menu-2-2
2. Select Bank-Press E-3
3. Select Location-Press E-1-Enter ID-Press E
4. Press 2-Enter Alpha Tag by using the VFO knob or wheel-Press E
5. Press Menu
6. Repeat Steps 3 through 5
