Mods move this to the correct forum if needed.

I am trying to program a Yaesu VX-6r for a friend using the free commander software. Does anybody have tips on importing the database .csv into this software? I have tried several times and can not get the data into the correct locations.

Manually typing is out of the question. Way too many memory slots to fill.

Has anyone successfully imported RR database info into this radio?

Manual programming is not as hard as you might think, but it is a little time consuming. :)
I have better than 300+ entries programmed in my vx-6r.

I use the RT Systems software, Yet still I go thru a cut and paste routine after downloading freqs from RR, re-arrange the data in a spreadsheet, then paste into the RT software, Sure a lot easier then manual programming, still not as slick as a lot of other scanner software programs.

Manual is not an option because this is for my buddy. HE can enter them if it comes to that.

I think I will try to export first to csv, to get the correct format in excel then cut and paste then import back.
