Not to sound stupid, but I have been in the radio business for over 40 yearsnow and you have
me guessing just what MMR stands for. I maybe missing something here, but can you give me a hint.

Jim

MMR stands for Metropolitan Mobile Radio and is a UHF trunked P25 network serving the Police, Fire and Ambulance services.

To program a radio onto the network (such as an XTS3000 or similar) would be a big no-no.
A P25 trunked radio WILL NOT hear any traffic unless it sucessfully affiliates with the network. That is the network recognizing the radio as valid on the system.
If it is an unauthorized radio- such as any not specifically programmed by Motorola- it simply will not work and will probably end up being "bricked". Have a look at www.batlabs.com and have a search for the term "bricked". There are many system parameters required when programing such a radio- many of which are not public knowledge and well beyond the understanding of the average hobbyist- including me. Playing about with a radio, assuming you have access to the software, could cause life threatening interference.

Please do not be foolish- buy a scanner.

Not to mention than an XTS3000 cannot do 9600 signalling used in a P25 trunking system...

Pity, because I love to see people like this get their radios "bricked" for their stupidity.

Cheers,

Richard

Your original question was...

Can somebody who has succsessfully done this please provide some info. ie. CC, Freqs, etc..

Since the MMR is a P25 trunking system, not conventional, setting up the XTS3000 radio in conventional is pretty pointless.

But hey if you think you know what you are doing... then best of luck.

Cheers,

Richard

for those playing along at home ,

after reading an old thread ... locate the voice freq for your site , eliminate police voice freq , this will leave you with two groups , one mas and another mfb ,
program the said voice freq , in two groups , one MAS the other MFB job done , while this does not track the talk groups per say , you will rx 99%of the comms , no problem ...
