Hi, I have a Uniden BC250D hand held scanner. I have the APCO P-25 digital card also. Things were working great untill 2008? Is there anyone in the Twin Cities MN (south metro) that can help me get my scanner operating again. I'm having a hard figuring out programming and do struggle with computers. Do I have to buy software to program now? I'm willing to buy the software if some can help me program!! I'm not asking for free help and I'm willing to compensate for the help. Thanks Don

Are you saying it was working fine and then all of the sudden quit?
Did it quit on all systems or just one or two?
Did any of the systems that quit may have re-banded their system?

Yep, I made the same mistake when I bought my first digital scanner. You need a 296, 396, 796, 996, RS Pro-96/2096 or GRE 500/600 to listen to ARMER.

The 250 will decode the digital audio, but it will not follow the P25 control channels.

You say it worked fine up until this year....were you scanning conventional frequencies that are no longer being used because those agencies switched to ARMER?
