I'm new to programming my SDS200 with Proscan. I have a favorites list with a P25 system in it. I load the file into the scanner and it says nothing to scan. It has turned on the correct service types and does not let me change them within the scanner from what is loaded. The monitor box is checked on the list inside of Proscan. This favorites list is the only one turned on in the scanner. What simple thing am I missing?

See the following for tips with Nothing to Scan

Things to check include - sounds like you have checked some of these, but doesn’t hurt to check again.
  1. Has favorite list been successfully transferred to scanner and set to monitor?
  2. Is location set?
  3. Are quick keys enabled if programmed
  4. Proper service types set

Oh boy

First off, did you set quick keys? If you are not familiar with qks, read the manual.

Did you program 'custom 1' service type?

Location control off?

Now the hard part, I had the very same issue when first got my 200, my unit WILL NOT WORK WITHOUT QKs.

I had to create a dumby system by hand using keypad. Import to Proscan, recreate favorites lists, export back to scanner WITH QUCK KEYS enabled. Never had an issue since. Every new system I create has to have qks.

You and I are the only ones I've ever heard with this issue.
