I am wondering if the ProScan Webserver can only be accessed through ProScan.

I have the WebServer running and can access and view it when I am running ProScan from the same browser and computer, but not on any other browsers or any other computers. Any ideas on how to access it from another computer?

Works fine for me. Depending on your setup, you may not be able to access your external IP from inside your network. You would have to use your internal IP while on your network.

Or turn off WiFi on your cell phone and try accessing over cellular.

The Web Server can be accessed on any computer or mobile device with a browser.

Use the inside IP address if the computer is on the inside of your network.
Use the outside IP address if the computer is on the outside of your network.

If using a mobile device on the inside of your network: Set the mobile device to use WiFi data and not cell data. Use the inside address.
if using a mobile device on the outside of your network: Set the mobile device to use cell data and not WiFi data. Use the outside address.

One other solution is to get a dynamic dns name, from a provider such as ddns. Then assign this value to your external IP through the ddns service, and also assign the FQDN (ex. my-scanner.ddns.net) on your router to the internal IP of your pc running ProScan. This works if your router supports hosting a DNS service.

I'm using a dynamic DNS obtained from noip.

I didn't have to do any of this. The hostname is linked to my external/outside IP address.
If my external IP changes then I have to log into noip and update it.

NOIP is who I use too. Just forgot actual name.

My solution allows you to use dns name internally from your network and will direct browser to the internal IP. Does your way work from inside your network?

BTW - If you run the DUC client on your pc it will automatically update if your external IP changes.

No, I don't believe so but it's been a while.

I remember many years ago, the client automatically updates the external IP address. I didn't see a client, the last time I signed up for a dynamic dns. I look for it.

I just tested this. Yes. I'm able to access my server using my dynamic dns hostname from inside my network.
