To anyone looking to acquire commercial radio programming software:
Please do not make requests for copies of radio programming software which is sold (or was sold) by the manufacturer for any monetary value. All requests will be deleted and a forum infraction issued. Making a request such as this is attempting to engage in software piracy and this forum cannot be involved or associated with this activity. The same goes for any private transaction via Private Message. Even if you attempt to engage in this activity in PM's we will still enforce the forum rules. Your PM's are not private and the administration has the right to read them if there's a hint to criminal activity.
If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.
To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.
The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.
For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

Provoice Encrypted Key

ProVoice is not encryption. ProVoice is digital. Encryption can be overlaid on top of ProVoice but by default, ProVoice is only digital, NOT encrypted.
The usual RX address is 85...but sometimes it's inverted. I can't recall what the inverted value is but
someone who knows will be along shortly to provide that information.

ehh i know provoice isn't an encryption itself .. but sometimes a talkgroup will use Provoice + Encryption
Example : In Quebec Canada ... RSP 1 Montreal .. Laval use Provoice + ENC ... Longueuil use both Clear Provoice and Encypted Provoice
Oh and this is NOT an ESK Control Channel . i have fully "access" to the control channel. When i program these tgid in my 700P i cannot hear the conversion from certain Provoice + Enc channel. but i clearly hear clear provoice.
So we can listen to them by inverting the value ? or is there default DES keys that we can add to the radio
I've just checked in the software and the only way to reverse a value is a full frequency in conventional .. that is not what i need except if the service is always using the same frequency in the system ... but i doubt it does ... it is a very busy system ...

There is no "default" key. (that would be a HUGE security hole)

The talkgroups that you are referring to are encrypted from what you are saying. So .. to clarify things for you as it looks like you are not getting what people are telling you.
1. Unless you are authorized, (which you are obviously not) it is illegal for you to listen to the talkgroups.
2. The talkgroups are encrypted for a reason .. to keep people from listening to them.
3. The keys for these talkgroups are not only secret (and not something you can guess at as there are more combinations than you could ever count in your lifetime), but the hardware to put said keys into radios are also restricted. You cannot just go to the corner radio store and buy them.
So .. what I am trying to say, just be happy that you can listen to what you can listen to and forget listening to the encrypted talkgroups.

I was recently able to mess around with setting up some DES keys for a radio I have, and for not having any prior experience with encryption(well programming wise), let's just say it really drove home for me how ridiculously freaking unlikely anybody is going to be able to randomly, or even systematically guess what key you are using.

That's just the way it is with ProVoice systems with encrypted talkgroups. You're not going to hear the encrypted transmissions unless you are a party to them, and you should just thank your lucky stars that a) you have a ProVoice radio to begin with and b)that your system doesn't use ESK, allowing you to use your radio as it was intended instead of having to use this.

to David ... it is not a lucky star to have a provoice radio i paid mine 1500$ with battery antenna , charger , and usb transfer cable ... it's took me like 3 weeks to find the proper software around the internet to program it .. now i can listen to clear provoice that's it ...

Understood - but it doesn't matter if you want to hear it. It's impossible.
