i dont know what has been happening the last couple of days, but my scanners stay locked on to a voice channel with the talkgroup displayed after the transmission is long done. it stays on it even through other voice traffic that is using that voice channel. it only happens on this one system: mot 2 dig smartzone. i dont know what caused this to happen all of a sudden, but thats for a different forum.

i dont think it is a psr500 error since i noticed it happening on my pro96, but my reason for asking it here is:

i found under expert global settings the digital endtone adjustment. im thinking that the problem lately has been that the endtone is not being sent correctly?? anyone know of anything to change the endtone setting to in order to possibly help this? i dont really know anything at all about endtones..

thanks

Are these digital talkgroups? If so, perhaps an emergency button was pressed and the system is holding the channel up until the emergency is cleared. In this state the system will send idle packets but only voice if someone is talking.

Check the S-Meter and the DG indicator. Are you seeing what you would see if the voice channel was active?
