okay I can get it to trunk perfectly except when I add my conventional objects. I can add three or four conventional but when I add in, through copy and paste 600 conventional frequencies, trunking goes away. The objects are still there n the groups and trunking objects, just when loaded to the scanner, only a G shows and the T does not. Object ids are all confused, using arc 500, . Well either the object ids are confused or I am.. copy and past from other files does not work cleanly or correctly as the object ids from the other file seem to not change to the current file numbers or current object ids..

The "G" says you have the global attenuator turned on.. Push FUNC then ATT to release the ATT.. That may bring your trunked system back on line..

The second suggestion would be: Import your conventionals from the RR database.. This way they are not consuming already used objects..

"G" alone only means that the attenuator is in global mode. If "A" doesn't appear next to it, it's turned off.

okey, G is gone but Trunking has not returned.

that took care of the G. the trunking is still not trunking, yet without the conventionals loaded, the trunking is fine. now the conventionals are fine, but the trunking has disappeared.

What you are saying is happening makes no scanner sense. Conventional versus trunking systems/Talkgroups are handled separatly with the scanner. (1) What software are you using to load the frequencies and systems/talkgroups? (2) are you using separate ScanLists for the conventional frequencies and different ones for the Talkgroups? If so are you locking out the ScanLists with one or the other. Also check to make sure you are not somehow deleting the System frequencies while leaving the TalkGroups.

If all is well then try doing a Factory Default Reset of the Scanner (Turn on scanner and at Welcome screen Press 0 then 2 and Enter) and start over from scratch loading your systems and conventional setup. Never seen that behavior in 5 years of using a PSR500.

my fault

I had trunking in a scanlist that I had turned off. Once I had the scan lists active, problem solved. I have multiple scanners here. I have been trying to help a friend with his PSR 600. Similar to my Uniden 396xt but terminolgy is different. You have obkects winth the GRE scanner, and systems with the 396xt.I also have a 296D and a 790xlt. Its hard to keep the steps all straight. Its hard to keep track of whose on first, whats on second,. etc.
