PSR 800 and MARCS

Have any of you GRE PSR 800 users noted that when you set Line 3 to alternate between TalkGroup ID and Alpha Tag that the line does not alternate when there is actual conversation going on? The scanner line hangs on the Talkgroup ID until talking stops and then it alternates according to the settings for the Line. No other trunk system behaves that way only MARCS. Anyone else notice this?
