I have a new PSR-800, great so far!
I'm setting up my LED and backlight to come on for each transmission. In the software under Backlight Settings there's a checkbox for "Latch LED When Activated". I can't seem to figure out what it means?
Thanks!

Normally, you'd set the LED (or backlight) to activate during activity on a channel or talkgroup.

LATCH LED provides a method to activate and KEEP active the LED - this allows you to know that a channel or talkgroup WAS active at some point even if you didn't see or hear it in real time. The LED will remain lit until you clear it.

When the 800 hears a transmission on the object, it latches the LED light on all the time with the color and pattern you programmed. It's a visual alarm you can set to let you know your channel of interest is active.

This same feature is on radio Shack 652 and I'm sitting here trying to figure why the light will not go out. Thnaks even though it was written about a few years ago
