PSR-800 USB Cable

I was wondering if the USB cable is a specific cable or can any USB to mini USB cable be used to plug into the scanner for updating info. And such?
I lost my cable this weekend and have another cable for my computer but it's not the one that came with the scanner. I don't want to fry my scanner if I try to use another!!

I have a handful of A to mini-B cables and I probably haven't used the same cable on the PSR800 more than twice. Use whatever grabs your fancy.
