psr low band performance

can anyone comment on how well the low band receives on ANY of the new psr's compared to, maybe, any of your other scanners??

low band performance on the 500 psr

Well,after playing with the unit and trying many different antennas,I find the new gre unit to be super sensitive to the point where it wont scan thru on service search and shows a 5 bar signal strength most of the time!!! I put a trouble ticket in on the gre support website BUT was told it is either overload from outside sources OR it could be a bum unit??!!!

Low band

My low band reception is about like the PRO-96. If it doesn't have CTCSS or other selective squelch, it's gonna start squawking sooner or later. Low band is subject to skip and it's 3 to 5 times as close to a lower freq source of interference as high band.

I'd rate the PSR500 as good or better than my PRO2055 on low band.
