MAC software

I have just received my PSR-500. My first impression is "What? CD only has the USB driver for Windows!" GRE america is in California. GRE should know about other operating systems. Maybe GRE only has one programmer and that programmer only learned about Windows at his high school.

I am a Microsoft Certified Professional and I like OS X for my home and hobby computer operating system. I do not care what is the best operating system. I like using OS X.

Maybe GRE can show their wiz kid programmer the Apple Objective C Tutorial and that programmer can write a "pure" OS X driver. I am a sef taught Objective C programmer.

You can download OS X drivers here:

http://www.ftdichip.com/Drivers/VCP/MacOSX/UniBin/FTDIUSBSerialDriver_v2_2_7.dmg

It works fantastically. Though there is no native Mac software, you can read the "CCDump" data on a terminal set for 115000,N,8,1.

If you are running Windows in a VM, you can install the cable under Windows and use any of the applications (the one on the CD, or WIN500, or PSREdit) in the Windows VM. I'm doing it all in a Vista VM now and it is fantastic!
