The data listed in the DB here is exactly the same as the stale data on Intercept. I've got the Tiger site in both of my scanners, but I've yet to pick anything up in two weeks (though I haven't been trying 24/7).

Anyone pick anything up lately?

I have it in both my Pro-97 and my BR330T. Anything that can do EDACS should be able to do it.

Bank 7 of my Pro97

I have the Seattle site programmed in my Pro97.. Bank and frequencies set for Edacs.
Scanning in open mode. I am not hearing anything at all. I should also mention I skipped the fist slot in bank 7. Should I have done so?

If by skipped the first one you mean you put the CC in 701, then yeah, I think that's right--I've never scanned another ED system. Also looks like you need to program all of the VCs in too (I'm just going off what I read in the manual).

The 153mhz are electric crews, the EDACS 900 was leftover from Washington Energy Services (gas) when they were merged into PSE. There was a write up about it some time ago in MRT. Going to nextel was probably what they did as I too haven't heard anything.

Makes sense that it'd be silent by now; the merge was in '97 and in '02 there was "not a lot of traffic on this system"

Seems a bit odd though that they'd keep the controller going if they're not using the system. Maybe it's a secondary or backup for Nextel? Seems that Nextel would provide a lot more coverage than a couple of repeaters though.

I think Washington Gas built it from the early 90's. I talked to someone back then who said the closet tower to them in lewis county was Capitol and it really didn't work. They had a low-band system before that which may have filled in during the transition. They also started closing down offices so the nextel probably became their dispatcher. They were also trying to cross-train gas and line crews, evidently they gave up on that. I don't know if they kept separate identities from gas trucks and electric. Maybe they're all on VHF.

Radio Shack is discounting some of their scanners this week, btw
