The database is showing the following for Pulaski County:

460.0875 - Sheriff
453.7000 - Sheriff (expired)
453.1000 - Fire (Morgans Cut)
453.1750 - Fire (Fairlawn)

I assume that 460.0875 is Sheriff Channel 1, and 453.7000 is Sheriff Channel 2. Does anyone know the tones on these? Does anyone know if the fire repeaters are used for dispatch or if they are just operations, and what the tones are?

The database is showing the following for Radford City:

460.2750 - Police Dispatch
453.8250 - Police Tactical
460.5500 - Fire Dispatch
460.6250 - Fire Channel 2
453.6500 - EMS Dispatch
460.4750 - Radford University PD Dispatch (I assume this is CH2 also in talkaround?)
458.4500 - Radford University PD CH3

Can anyone confirm the tones on these frequencies?

Thanks!!

The frequencies are right, although I don't remember the tones on any of them. They're programmed into my scanners, but one of them is MIA and the other's in my pickup (180 miles from my current location). If I can remember it, I'll look and see what I have in there, and I may just make a voyage to that neck of the woods in the next week or two if I have time to see what's going on there. I think the sheriff's department is going narrow-band, although I can still remember a couple years ago when they were on 39.28.
As for the fire repeaters, those are used for dispatch. I can't recall whether they were used for operations or not. Needless to say, 45.32 (carrier squelch) is used all over the area (Giles, Floyd, maybe Montgomery and Pulaski too).
Now I just need to remember to check that stuff this weekend.

Awesome! If you can confirm the tones if you are up that way I would appreciate it. I keep pretty much everything in my radio programmed with tone to cut out any intermod or other noise on the frequency.

I think that's the tone I heard when I first found that 460.0875 was in use. I did hear 460.275 with the 100Hz tone, but that's all I heard when I was in Christiansburg last weekend. I may have to go back and see what's up with those areas.

They use a 123Hz tone, but from what I remember, the terms of their license limit their system to being within town limits. I was there yesterday in Pulaski and heard the PD loud and clear.

the tone for 460.0875 is 91.5

I heard them yesterday with a 71.9Hz PL.

The DB has it as such, but 460.0875 is more than the sheriff's cars.

I'm currently hearing Pulaski Co Sheriff dispatch on 453.775 PL 71.9, 460.0875 PL 71.9 and 156.2025 PL 146.2

In addition to 155.25 PL 123.0, the town PD is also on 158.79 PL 71.9

So are these all separate channels, or are they part of a wide-area simulcast system?

Radford University Police Department is now on a Kenwood Nexedge "Digital" system, however they still have the ability to switch back to their analog channels.
