There definitely is no site 0. I am using UT to monitor, but my SDS doesn't even show site 0. I don't know where you came up with that info.

That could very well be my error when I put the system in manually. I only heard group 1, will listen for more
I recommend programming via a computer. I recommend ProScan if they are uniden scanners.

That's okay. It was a simple mistake. Im guilty of that too. I'm just surprised you got audio while programming site 0. But yeah, programming it as Site 1 is correct.

If you're referring to an SDS200, there is nowhere to program a Site ID. In fact there is nowhere to program most of the trunked parameters such as SysID, WACN, Site ID, etc. The only thing you program are the control channel frequencies and optionally the Site NAC, which defaults to Search and thus is not necessary unless you have co-channel interference which is unlikely. I'm not quite sure where you were programming any 0 or 1, to be honest. The SDS's display will show the Site ID if you have it setup to do so (along with the aforementioned other variables), but that's pretty much it.

No the site name when entered manually can be named Site 0. I would show you a screenshot but I already changed it

The site "name" can be whatever you "name" it. The site "ID" comes from the control channel data stream and cannot be made up. My site name here in the photo is 471.2375 ( I named it the control channel frequency). The site ID in the second row in the bottom right says 1. That is what GTR8000 is referring to. It cannot be inserted or changed.

413 confirmed as flagging on air @62Truck . I'm monitoring on OpenMHz, so I'll let a local handle submissions. Seems like all County DPW TGs are actively in use, and DPW is either partially or totally switched over.

This is what I have so far:

County DPW (5 channels in Highway radios):
412: Flagging
413: Flagging (confirmed on air as "Flagging Channel")
415: Unknown
417: Facilities?

Sheriff:
1011: Dispatch (confirmed on air)
1012: Encrypted?

1031: Carmel Police Dispatch (confirmed on air)

1041: Kent Police Dispatch (confirmed on air)

1061: Brewster Police Dispatch (confirmed on air)

Just want to make sure I'm not missing something but up to this point, I'm only hearing the simulcast of the dispatch from 46.38 and the DPW talkgroups even though I see talkgroups for Fire Response and all the LE agencies. I'm assuming it's still just the transition?

I have heard transmissions on the PART talk group can't tell if there on it full time or not

These have been my observations so far to date:
  • Fire/EMS Dispatch Tallkgroup (302) is primarily a simulcast patch of F1, although sometimes I do hear digital tones being activated.
  • Fire/EMS Response Talkgroup (2004) is a straight simulcast patch of F5/F13.
  • You will only hear traffic on TG 302 and 2004 based on affiliations of a native P25 subscriber, so the traffic comes and goes.
  • The DPW Talkgroups (401-417) are very active, and it seems that they are almost fully switched over, I barely hear them on NYCOMCO Con+ anymore.
  • The same goes for PART (421). I hear regular operations on the TG, although I still hear them on NYCOMCO Con+ as well.
  • The Office For Senior Resources (431 &432) uses the system full-time. I hear daily operations on their TGs. Learn more about them here.
Finally, all of the other TGs, like Carmel PD (1031), Kent PD (1041), Brewster PD (1061), PCSO (1011), and Poling (301), have been confirmed over the air, yet they are not active with traffic att. It's cool to see the P25 system coming alive.
