I can't figure out what this is? (Except that it is pretty doggone boring?)

Frequency 47.300
CTCSS 110.9

I found it in the library but the only label that comes with it the number 30.

I am curious what it might be? Does anyone know?

The freq 155.205 its like an EMS Mutual Aid Channel to communicate with other ambulances like on a scene with other counties or to communicate with another city or county or hospital secondary channel

The freq 155.37 is the Danville Police Dept donna

155.205 is also used a lot around here in S&R missions. I've also heard people going up the highway just yakkin' away.

You sure do know your frequencies! Do you have a list you keep handy or is it all in your head?

I live close so I know the area frequencies mostly in my head. I do have a recipe file of index cards but most of them are no longer in use. Pittsylvania county seems to be one of the counties still using old frequencies both bedford and roanoke have changed roanoke twice. I am unable to even try to remember frequencies anymore because once in the scanner u can forget them now we have to learn talkgroups Radio Reference keeps up with everything much better then i ever could and is an encyclopedia of radio info My uncle has to program my PRO 96 for the systems i now moniter From time to time I hear radio traffic from missouri and california on the old low band state police freq of 42.86 and 42.92 and if i scan low band search i hear a lot of others its called low band skip. my furthest was a ham on 29.6 in the netherlands and he moved to 29.49 to talk i heard all this on my pro 95 on its rubber duck antenna Radio reference has a Skip forum plus an excellent data base Happy scanning

155.370 is in use here in C'ville with almost continuous digital which makes me think it is not voice of any kind. since It doesn't unkey.I think the city pd used to use it way back. I guess I should quit being lazy and look it up!

Donna: I remember hearing Cali on 46.46 all the time in the early 80's when the local fire dept used it. Also, 39.50 was very busy, and most of the low-band sheriff depts suffered terribly from skip.

Skip

I have been hearing skip from the time i got up today till early afternoon. Most of it seemed to come from the Gulf Coast 33.42 orlando 42.12 Mississippi hgy Patrol Gulfport 29.66 Dallas Ft Wort TX 42.74 I believe to maybe be local from NC but had some severe fading. I also have in previous years heard California even once hearing the Motorcycle on a talk back freq in reference to an accident during one of the times skip to california was mostly full quieting. 39.50 was really hot when louisiana used it but all I hear on it now are locals along with 39.54 I did catch a customs acft today on 165.2375 and have caught some simples on 154.695 working with 418.625 simplex both were part of the same operation In previous years I heard drug boats from FL on 42.92 even after the state went quiet on their low band state police. Today was an excellent day for skip on my table top scanner with a set or TV rabbit ears one pointed up the other one at a 90 degree angle horizontal plane with a short piece of TV rg 6 with an adapter to my connector on the back of my scanner. I had an antenna atop the silo cut for 39.5 (for 37 to 43MHZ skip) which i plan to hook up later again after our Ford L7000D passed under the coax with its dump not fully down taking my RG 213 cable along with it. Another note when skip is in the table top antenna works almosat as well as the silo antenna. However I can hear low band from North Carolina lots better on the silo antenna as well as some VA stations in the 37.xxx to 39.xxx range. 123.45 acft chit-chat channel sometimea i hear

A couple of these I have listed in the scanner already. Here is what they seem to be.

462.975 Bedford County Rescue. Only heard this one once or twice.

154.600 Sam's Club with a CTCSS of 79.7 - I have never heard it because Sam's Club is in Roanoke and I am in Bedford.
