Question for Administration

I searched the data base for Suffolk County Police Dept radio talkgroups. I was specifically looking for The State University Police Dept that I dispatch for to get the fleet codes that we use. Although I find the information on this site to be highly accurate and informative, I was slightly dismayed to learn that our Police Dept is classified as "security" and not Law Enforcement like othe police depts. We have been a bona fide Police dept since 1999 and we are in the latter stages of accredidation. I believe we deserve a little more credit than "security" -Sorry didn't want to make this sound like a complaint post. If the appropriate Administrator could please look into this oversight, we would greatly appreciate it. Thank You, Scott -Dispatcher 22

Hello again, I was searching this data base and found that our channel 4 for the hospital was listed as a "Medcom" channel. This is in fact a police dept channel that we have designated for the hospital security. It is one of 5 channels that is allocated to the State Univ Police Dept. for Stony Brook.
