Well, nothing special and sort of quickly thrown together; I just needed something where I could listen to my departments' and surrounding agencies tac/fireground channels to figure out what's going on while responding either to the station or the scene....
I have set up in my car, a Uniden BCT15 stored in the trunk;
I have it running up to a speaker and antenna located behind the front seats;
I have the scanner itself running up to a remote head, the BC-RH96, which i mounted to the left of my steering wheel.... Perfect position, it clears the legs when getting in and out, and in the event of an accident won't hit my knee / leg at all....
Almost all of the wires are hidden except for a few; my main problem was powering up the scanner in the trunk... I couldn't find a wire that shuts off with the car, and the head up front doesn't control power to the main unit... I went with a power adapter extender w/ a toggle on / off switch and ran it up to a socket under my arm rest:
a bit ghetto; but beats a dead battery...
As for my other toys I use, I have a minitor that's not pictured, and an ICOM IC-F70 UHF:
That's pretty much it for now, eventually I might find a better form of power and I'm going to create a little cover so if i'm carrying something in the trunk, it won't smash up against the scanner...
