Wondering if anyone here know these or have had any luck?

I'm also wondering if there's a Wake County "All" tone that is used whenver there's a major issue...

Simply trying to see if anyone might have this vs me recording everytihng and trying to decode it which is becoming a pain.

I can see several threads on this subject for Raleigh City departments, but none that have accurate info on the Wake County Fire departments for tones used... Seeking help if anyone here is willing.

Thanks so much for reading.

The only thing I can come up with for you Is the County Group Call Frequency of 1830.5, it's a continuous tone that will set off all fire Dept pagers in the county at once which will open the pager on any of the alert positions.

I've only got my department's tone frequencies, not anybody else's and not HS/GFD. Wish I could be of more help!

Thanks so much for the reply PKnight56!

This gets me one step closer. At least having the all tone, I'll be able to keep my scanner on standby without having to listen to a ton of other stuff to know when there's a major event. This is helpful.

I just put it in my scanner (BCD436HP), and used ToneA as 0.0 and Tone B as 1830.5. This lines up with my manual, where is says to use Tone B for longer tones... Wondering if you've ever done anything similar and can confirm it works? (Obviously I'm going to be waiting while for ac actual test.)

Off topic, do you know when Wake does it's pager tests? (Thinking Saturday mornings like many other counties in the state but not certain).

Near the bottom of the first page is an attachment that has a bunch of the tones. No idea if that info from 2013 is still relevant though. You may give it a try.

Thanks so much cmjonesinc! At least for holly springs, I think, this might be dated info. Only reason I say this is because when I programmed those into my scanner, they would never trigger.

That info looks to be dated, some of the B tones for stations/1st responder are correct, but I believe the county A tone has moved to 1433.4? Someone may wanna double-check me on that.

It's definitely dated. The post I linked was from 2013 and who knows how old the info was then. OP you could try doing a tone search or using something like TwoTone Detect to figure out the specific ones you're wanting.

Circling back to this old thread for thoroughness sake,...

OnYourSix, sorry I didn't see that reply...

I was was able to find three for Holly Springs by using the fire toneout search feature on my 436.

This is 903.2/389, 1433.4/389, and 1433.4/321.7 - Not sure what they are each for just yet (which is for fire just vs which is for medical, station 3, etc) but I'm getting there! Progress is progress.

I've tried running Two Tone Finder, but I don't think I'm getting good readings. Not sure if it is because it is on the TRS or just interference on scanner. Will play with it a while and see what happens.

Saw 1468/984 and 1468/1473 for a dispatch of Hopkins E222 and Rolesville Car 1 & Rescue 15, but don't take that as fact.

Yeah, I'm giving up on Two Tone Finder, I'm not getting consistent nor accurate results. Sorry

Thanks a ton @OnYourSix !

Just programmed that last one in my 436, and now my search has ended.

Now thinking about getting a Minitor VI or a Unication pager to listen better...

@OnYourSix - I am in HS Sir! I can't really decide what I want to do yet... I just know that the audio quality on my 436 seems very suboptimal, and I feel like I'm missing many transmissions.. Wondering if I got one from a bad batch or something... dunno. For paging I was thinking about either the V or the VI, but I may go with the V just to save the cash. For the radio part of it, I thought about trying to find a XTS and try to read up enough to program it... or, possibly getting a Unication G5. Not sure which route I want to take. Any personal experience?

@Neo62381 I have a few suggestions. I will send you a PM so we don't bore everyone with our info. I am using a BCT15 just for HS Fire tone outs, there are no other frequencies im listening to on it. My 536 im using for HS Police Only, and I host it on Broadcastify 24/7 if you ever want to listen.

Not sure how that dept works but why not try to join as a volunteer fire fighter and help out when you can then you get a free pager and actually get to give back to the community. Thats what i did when i joined a local dept here

@Reconrider who were you addressing that to? Holly Springs, Fuquay, and Apex do not have volunteer members anymore, the closest volunteer department is Fairview. Are you a volunteer? Any other towns you could suggest?

This area has become so busy that volunteers have been phased out. My son and I are going to attempt to join Fairview in about a year when he is old enough to be a junior. I was a Vol FF for 13 years and EMT for 25 years in NY. I'm at the point where I don't care to hear sirens anymore, but at 47 years old I'm going to join back up as a volunteer since my son wants to become a career FF. They have "in-town" and "out of town" volunteers.

Yea im not in the area just suggesting it as a way to get in the know for a small price as volunteering
