Has anyone used the rear panel 70.4515 mhz IF output jack to monitor (display) received signals ?

Years ago. in a different life, at a different location (In other words, I know I still own the D**** thing but it is hiding in a box somewhere) I had a panadaptor that took the IF out and would display it on the old 1MHz second hand O-scope that I can still find.
Ah well the R-71 is still the backup HF rx but has been replaced on the radio bench.
I have not seen panadaptors advertised for quite some time as most of the computer controlled radios have some sort of spectrum display built in.
There might still be some schematics on the net somewhere.
Worth a look if you are a builder.
