Hi All,

FYI, the old Rat $hack Pro-2051 is still good for even the 800 digital/analog
band. In trying it out, I discovered that Caddo 911 dropped from 866 thru
868 MHz down to 851 thru 853 MHz. The talkgroup numbers stayed the
same. If they are running any digital stuff, it's probably the SFD with their
heart machines. Jerry, you can correct me on this if you wish.

Also, I bought a programming cable from a ham down in the BR area. He
kept the software cd and sent me the cable, no instruction book. :-( So,
my next move is to contact Butel and see if they still have the CD for the
2051. If not, I'm "tattooed", LOL!

If you have a Pro-2051, e-mail me and I can fill you in on some other
programming shortcuts, LOL! Just a couple of button pushes. ;-)

GOD BLESS,
Warmest Regard,

"Brother Don"/KA5LQJ

Don please consider writing these shortcuts up - we can then put them in the wiki for all to use, enjoy and maybe be added to. You can write them up in Word if you wish and I can take it from there. The 2051 never enjoyed much success due to the fact that it's a mish-mosh of firmwares from 2 or 3 radios, so anything you can provide is likely to be a hit.

And by the way, ARC433 from BuTel will work with the 2051 - here's the Scanner Master link...

ARC433 (PRO433/528/2051)

best regards Mike
