R20 Battery Size

Hi,
Can any members who have an Icom R20 let me know what size battery it has in mAh?
The manual says it should be 1600mAh but the one I purchased last week is marked as 1950mAh.

If you are talking about using AA batteries, they suggest the 1650 mAh as a minimum. You can use a higher capacity battery for longer listening time. I used to run 2250 mAh batteries in mine with no problem.

Thanks but I am asking about the Li-Ion battery pack that comes with it, my old one (which I sold) had a 1600 mAh pack from what I can remember but this one has a 1950 mAh one.

That's a nice boost in capacity.

For lithium-rechargeables, I also don't do full charge-discharge cycles very often and just top them off with a recharge after any session of decent length. It's nice to know I can go 8 or more hours if I need to, but I try not to do that and just top it off to keep the overall cycle-count down. Kind of like how I treat a laptop with lithium batteries. Maybe every month or two will I do a full-charge discharge cycle.

I'm sure there's a battery thread about these, but just wanted to point this out since you are starting with a nice new one.

Thanks for the info, I gave it a full charge when I got it and had been using it since without another charge, I might give it one tonight to "top it up
