Hi All,
I don't know if I am missing something, but I can not seem to locate a way of programming the R2500 with the supplied Icom software. It will of course input memory channels on the computer, but when I disconnect the radio from the computer and use the control head, those freq's are not there. Can you not program the radio with the software so the same input is there when the control head is used??
TIA

Your R2500 software has a program utility that will convert the pc memories to the radio, and vice versa. It also allows you to save your radio configuration. Due the the memory format being different between the radio and the PC, you must use this utility. There was a seperate instruction sheet for the "Data Convert" function.

The program takes a little getting use to. I accidently wiped out my PC configuration and then my radio configuration when first trying to understand the software so I suggest you keep backups handy just in case.

Hope this helps you.

Hey RB, where do you find the utility? I have been scouring the program and have found nothing, I even downloaded the newest version of the control software thinking it may be an update but still no luck

Thanks

OK,
Found the utility but it does not seem to place the memories in the raido unit. They have not changed from what was already programed in??
