My ICOM IC-R7100 is flawless with one exception. The rubber grip on the frequency dial has a couple small cracks. I contacted ICOM and they do not have replacements. Does anyone know of any other source for this part?

Any interchangeable tuner knobs?

You might want to measure the knob, including the size of the shaft, and look around under "radio communications" on Ebay. You might be shocked to see what shows up. A friend of mine needed the PBT/Notch knob for his R71A, and there was a set of knobs from a dead IC-751, and so he grabbed the knob set for $20. Not too bad as that knob is almost impossible to find.

Thanks! That's exactly what I've been doing this morning. I found a guy that custom makes tuner knobs that are very nice but expensive.

Personally, I'd replace the 5/8" Wide by 1/16" thick rubber grip with foam strip.

Look here:

McMaster-Carr

Using the left column, drill down to the type of material, properties, backing, absorbency, foam firmness, color and cost that may appeal to you.
