When replacing the dial lights today I noticed there is a speaker baffle on the bottom plate of the R8500. It appears similar to that on the top (where the speaker actually is).
I assume that this is since the case pieces are shared with other radios.
I wonder though has anyone used this for a speaker or even a fan?
