Rabun County

I have had for a long time, the frequency of 154.650/151.4 for Dillard PD. Noticed that it has been changed to Rabun Co SO Tac. Have the Dillard PD disbanded, or absorbed into the SO? Is there a different frequency for the PD? Just wondering.

i used to be able to hear most of rabun county from helen were i live.. i will start monitoring again and see what i can figure out..

it would not surprise me if dillard PD was no longer.. dillard is so small it wouldn't be a big thing for SO to cover it..

What about Sky Valley PD? My grandparents use to live up there and we would pass by their little "station." Probably only 3 or 4 officers there but made me wonder what they use and if they are still around.

I can affirm for you that Dillard PD is still very much around and still operates on 154.650 simplex with PL of 151.4. Our mountain house in western NC is about 5 miles north of Dillard and I listen to them alot when I'm up there. Dillard PD is actually dispatched by Rabun County 911 which dispatches all public safety agencies in Rabun County.
