Just curious if anyone has been logging them. While I was visiting family just after the new system went live, I brought along a couple of SDRs to see what I could figure out. One thing that is neat about phase 2 systems is that agency assigned radio ID's are displayed, so it was quite nice being able to see who's actually keying the radio. It would be nice to compile a list of captured ID's so I can have the actual unit displayed on my scanners instead of just numbers. I didn't have a lot of time to mess with computer stuff while I was there, so I wasn't able to figure out how to log ID's in a usable format with SDRTrunk. I did manage to capture a few while taking screenshots, but that got old real quick!

Does anyone have logs they'd be willing to share, or be able to point me in a direction so I can get SDRTrunk set up to log them in a usable format? I don't have a phase 2 system where I live, so I can't really test anything until I head back to visit family.

I've got them on dsdplus , but not all IDs show up all the time, once I figure it out I put the info on unitrunker for now, since they use phase 1 and 2

Does it log in a manor that data could be transferred the into a .csv? That way I could get the data moved over to Sentinel and also into Unication PPS.

SDRTrunk shows all of the data that I'd like to extract from the events tab, but unfortunately, I'm unable to copy it from there. I've tried to use all of the different logging features, but they only generate a bunch of gibberish that I can't use.

DSD+ FL does put it in an easy to convert format, with commas so you can easily put it into a CSV. Sample entries below.

P25, BEE00.596, 46880, 1844141, 50, Normal, 10, 2025/02/06 8:04, "", "W175", FB249AAC
P25, BEE00.596, 46880, 1844142, 50, Normal, 14, 2025/02/03 17:33, "", "W448-V", A3184831
P25, BEE00.596, 46880, 1844143, 50, Normal, 13, 2025/02/05 16:34, "", "W547V", 6C985EA9
P25, BEE00.596, 46880, 1844146, 50, Normal, 12, 2025/01/31 19:31, "", "1844146V", 75D4AE9A
P25, BEE00.596, 46880, 1844147, 50, Normal, 29, 2025/01/17 16:14, "", "W358-V",

Something like this would be very helpful, so I'll have to do some research. I'm assuming the info in the second to last column are the agency assigned ID's? They do look rather short, so it might not be as easy as I was hoping for.

Is there a way to capture everything about a specific radio like this image shows? https://wiki.radioreference.com/images/8/80/Radio_IDs_Captured_via_SDR_Trunk.png

The information in between the "", which is missing in above example, is the name you assign, the second to last column is the ID assigned by the department in the radio and it will vary by agency sometimes it is less than helpful other times it is very helpful.

I have no idea what that is or where it came from, so I can not give you an answer.

The image is a capture of what SDRTrunk shows on UT's new P25 system. It is very detailed since it shows the RID, along with exactly who's radio it is, and whether it's a portable or mobile radio. Anything with a "-DI", or "-DIS" at the end is a dispatch console.

I have been filling in an excel sheet with received RID's and the agency they are associated with. Out of 6053 entries (currently), I have IDs (Engine 75, AirMed-06, ect) on about 900 of them.

Are all them entered by hand, or extracted from log files?

:cry:By hand. A very tiresome process.
I was afraid of that! I currently have almost 4200 ID's for WyoLink that were obtained by the same method. I was really hoping for an easy way to utilize the data that's being transmitted and displayed right in front of me.

If you don't mind, message what you have, and I'll share what I have for Wyoming.

I've done most of mine by hand , dsdplus helps with some info but some radio IDs have to be altered.. then I put the info on unitrunker.. I haven't even attempted to put it in the bcdx36hp scanners or the sds100 and 200 scanner for radio ID info, seems overwhelming unless I can copy and paste somewhere.., besides the PC is full im working to move files around...

Let me clean it up a bit, and I'll send it.

You can copy from your file and paste into Sentinel, or ProScan. I also have a G5 that I import UID's to.

That's awesome!
