I recently had a friend ask me to help him program his RS Pro 96. He tried to program in a very complicated system and was unsuccessful. So before I came to help him, it sounds like he did a factory reset of the radio. He said he had it in his car most of the day today. And today was cold and damp here. Anyway when I got to the scanner, it would turn on, boot up, but not respond to any button commands. It said P000 Bank 0 Channel 00. I couldn't even get the backlight to come on or the WX operation to work. I can confirm that the keypad lock was not set. We worked off the black battery pack of 4 AA batteries. I tried new batteries, but no luck. I tried doing the pin reset button on the side of the radio, no luck. Any suggestions?
