Hey guys and gals you know how to pick up the west glacier park rangers frequencies on pro radio shack 197 digital base
scanner i add all those frequencys and no luck pick them up i tried both outdoor antenna and the antenna came with the scanner you know what im doing wrong please post help here so i can fix it

Assuming you haven't found what you are looking for here in the RR db, may I suggest you use the "geosearch" option on the License Search - Advanced License Search page? I've found the "geosearch" option uncovers transmitter sites otherwise not found in license searches. HTH.

It's possible you can't hear them from Kalispell. They run in mixed mode. Their system is optimized to work in the park but 50 or so miles outside might be a stretch to hear. I really didn't hear them until Hwy 2 on Amtrak using a Astro Saber around Essex and then it was choppy.

I pick up the other frequencies fine i know county fire is scratchy the 383 frequencies i dont have a problem with kpd, county sherriff,wpd,cfpd

The 197 will overload on VHF using an outside antenna under certain conditions. Try using the ATT while on that antenna. You should not have that problem on UHF.
