I have a old 2046 and I am interested in using trunking software with it. I can't find any instructions on how to do it. Any idea on what I have to do to get this going?

Are you looking for software to program the scanner or for software to allow you to get information on trunked systems after installing a discriminator tap?
If it's the former, there is no way to program that scanner by hand, but if it is the latter then I would love to know how to tap mine too

Yes the discriminator part. Yes the buttons are very hard to push. I keep punching in 854.9375 and I keep accidently hitting the 7 button.

Well hopefully someone will stop by and will advise on how to tap this model as I have one that has been in my closet for years just waiting to be used again.

Discriminator Tap
I took it apart and examined it trying to find where the discriminator is. Found it and did a lil experamenting using unitrunker and copper wires and duck tape. Temporary rig till I get proper tools and parts
