I am trying to convert my 1n dmr I'd to a 3n type. I find the directions to be not working for me.
There is a problem logging in and the password function does not like me!
They (RADIOID.NET) give instructions that do not work for me!
Brandmeister does not work anymore either.
I am using a pi-star hot spot.

Anyone offer help?

Are there any errors on screen?

What EXACTLY does not work so we know what the possible issue is.

Love your avatar by the way. ;)

From an AI.

To convert a 1N DMR ID to a 3N type, you can follow these steps:

1. **Login to RadioID Dashboard**: Go to the RadioID.net website and log in to your account.

2. **Access Your 1N ID**: Once logged in, locate your 1N ID in your dashboard.

3. **Convert to 3N**: Click on the 1N ID, and you should see a button labeled "Convert to 3n." Click this button to initiate the conversion.

4. **Confirmation**: After the conversion process is complete, you will be returned to your dashboard, and you should see your new 3N ID listed[3][7].

This process is straightforward and does not require any manual calculations or external tools. It's a case-by-case basis for approval, but converting an existing ID is generally supported for valid reasons.

And just to be sure, the Pi-Star has outward Internet access? Can you ping a website or IP address like 1.1.1.1?

The password change option does not work for me!
I keep getting a "authentication" error.
Have tried dozens of times.
Thinking of just changing my 1n dmr I'd to a 3n myself.
Maybe someone from brandmeister can help me?

Cool.

May I suggest a good password manager like Bitwarden? My 69 year old mother uses it and I use it to augment my primary password manager called Keepass. Just don't ever forget the master password and e-mail to Bitwarden. You do and it's all gone. There is ZERO (0) recovery. That's why I augment, and Keepass allows me to backup my database to where ever and what ever. But Keepass or KeepassXC are not for the everyday Joe. So I recommend as of this post Bitwarden. Why? Because I did a fair amount of reading about most if not all of the other password manager offerings and they all either were hacked or I didn't like one thing or another about them.

Bitwarden's code is also open source. So if you or anyone reading this knows how you can spin up your own sever at home and use ZeroTier for connection. Or use a VPS from where ever... I also believe Bitwarden is HIPAA compliant and has garnered other Certs as well as GDPR compliance this and that.
