RadioShack CB-Style Retro Handset - Radioshack
I was in the Radio Shack this afternoon at the Mall Of America and I saw this for sale. My initial reaction was that $7.99 seemed like a reasonable price. So, the clerk assisted me in trying this with my Nexus 4 phone. He inserted batteries into the unit and I was pretty underwhelmed. It seems like it is poorly made and the audio was not very loud.
I was disappointed because I could see the utility of this. I like to do certain activities and want to listen to cell phone audio without covering my ears. I could have clipped this on my collar and I would have been all set. I just don't see this as being a success for Radio Shack.
Has anybody else here tried one of these? Or, are there any other similar products that are better made than this one?
