Railroad reception

Hi guys just wondering, I was able to pick up CN and VIA quite well with my BCD396T but my BCD436HP only picks up RTC Dispatch and occasionaly the the Yard workers. I am in Lambton county, any ideas?

Also how does the 396 compare to the 436 in a side by side test? If one hears traffic and the other does not, then you will have to identify the reception issue.

I'm not a train buff, but my shop records list 161.415 as CN main line with 160.305 listed for GEXR. TAFL may also give you local assigned rail freq for the Sarnia/Lambton area.

Thanks guys, for the info. I just thought maybe CN had changed something. I will check what I programmed. Maybe I have something messed up.

In regards to the derailment, they kept it pretty hush-hush until someone got a hold of the press. They have had a few of those around here but they keep them pretty quiet until someone notices it and notifies the press.
