I e spent a month or vibe coding a client app for use with RDIO hosted server. I am not trying to compete with the paid RDIO scanner app. I wanted a listener friendly app that would pause the audio if you take a phone call, queue up the audio and when your call is over play a k the audio you missed firming the call. I had come tatted the RDIO scanner dev and they had no interest in supporting this.

I’m at a point where I’m looking for a couple people to invite to TestFlight for some feedback. IOS only

I'd be interested in testing this since I have an iphone, but I run a forked version of rdio scanner where the lead developer added new features like tracking how many calls per hour, etc. transcription support, among other features. The UI is a bit different when viewing from the web as seen here:

This server will work with the normal version of the rdio-scanner app on both android and IOS. But, maybe you should contact the owner of this fork and see if he'd collude with you instead. He's a cool guy and any bug I've came across in the past, I've reported to him and he fixed within an hour. The reason why he forked to begin with was the lack of updates from the OG rdio-scanner server. I'd be willing to bet that he'd support your project. He apparently has an android apk already, but I haven't tested it out because I only have an Iphone.

A lot of people just don't know about this fork which is a shame, because he's quite active. This fork should replace the original imo considering the original dev hasn't shown any interest in continuing his project.

I can send you a link; mine is mostly for listening, not so much for controlling. But some user feedback would be nice, just on operability. i don't want to add all the features that the paid OG app has and step on any toes. pausing the audio while taking a phone call should not be a big ask but it was

Yeah it's a big problem on IOS just trying to preserve audio while doing anything else lol. But yeah, I don't run a server on my Iphone either, it's just for listening purposes only. I'm just saying that it may or may not be compatible with the fork I mentioned but, if the normal rdio-scanner app is, then maybe it will work.

I think feature-wise, might be good to be able to listen to calls live, and to play back old calls. That's all I'm really interested in honestly. I'll be willing to provide feedback but not sure when I can download, busy weekend ahead.
