Hello, I had previously been using Rdio scanner so I can hear my Sdrtrunk audio when I leave the house, and also share it with a small group of people as well.

I got a new router yesterday, meaning the port forwarding rules were erased.

I logged in to the router, and selected TCP, entered 3000 as internal port, 3000 as external port, and used the IP address that NoIP shows as my external IP.

However, Rdio is not letting me connect at all.

Can someome tell me where I went wrong and possibly give me a step by step guide as to how to set it up?

I also created a seperate rule and instead of entering an IP, I selected my computer name that showed up in a list.

Still not working.

Can anyone help?

Using the external IP would be a wrong step. You forward to the internal IP of the target device. You shouldnt reference external IP and this would likely change fairly regularly anyway unless your ISP provides static IP (most don’t unless you pay for this).

And no one will likely be able to give you a step by step because it’s going to be specific to your new router which none of us will likely have any experience using.

All good got it working, instead of entering an IP I just selected my computer and its working fine. Thank you anyways!

That should work. I would delete the 1st rule and use this rule using port 3000 internal and external.
Start the server then test that the Port Fowarding is setup correctly with Open Port Check Tool -- Verify Port Forwarding on Your Router
That's exactly what I did! There's only 1 forwarding rule, internal port 3000 external port 3000, TCP, computer name instead of IP address, and No-IP has a port forwarding checker built into the DUC software. I'm pleased!

@Clats97 - I'm glad you got it working. I have the same setup with SDRTrunk, Rdio-Scanner, and NoIP. I have a fixed IP on this computer and port forward 3000. It works great except the NoIP address only works when I'm not connected to my home wifi. While at home I have to connect directly to the computer's fixed IP address. It's not a big deal because it works but I wonder if this is normal. Do you experience the same behavior?

Yes this is normal. What I do is set up the same FQDN that I registered at NO-IP on my router as a local host name and point it to the pc’s internal IP address.

Yup. I have to switch to data if I want to hear Rdio from the app on my phone.
