Rebanding

Meriden , Hartford Hospital, and CCSU have been done. It looks like RAFS is within the next few weeks, (remeber there are alot of departments on 800 MHz in the region).

Willimantic PD is going to 854.2625 Mhz

Nothing heard on the status of New Haven Fire.

Also none of those agencies in the 821 range will not move until those in the first 120 800 Mhz channels move off, which will allow the move down. ie. New Haven Fire Channel 2 is 851.0125 Mhz which will become the I-Call channel from 866.0125 Mhz.

From what I see that no one is changing PL/DPL just the frequencies are moving at this time.

More to follow as I get the infomation........

Rebanding

Meriden is complete rebanding.
By mid june they will have new repeaters and recivers installed for the system, This is the first part of moving to a digital system, they are getting a new tower, once that goes in they will move to digital and encryped if they get grant money.
Digital is a go, but encryption is a $$ thing

what frequency for meriden's P25?

the current frequencies are as follows:

855.5125 pl 123.0
854.2875 pl 123.0

they (meriden) will eventually move to p25 and possibly encryption
in the future if funding is available.

Rebanding

At this point I have heard nothing from New Haven, Willimantic PD has switch over to their new channel with the PL of 162.2. The CT Department of Corrections will shift with the following under licenses WPAR 691 thru 695:

854.1125 MHz; 857.6625 MHz; 859.5375 Mhz; and 859.6625 MHz all with various different PL's .

it would make sense that they have both sets of frequencies up and running at the same time. That way you can still talk to each other and not have to program every radio at the same time.
