Re Hydro One Perth county

has anyone heard any activity on Hydro One in the perth county area. With all the storm activity and downed wires I would think there would be some activity but I have heard nothing on the 49 mhz band. I know they use cells for most comms.

If anyone has the freq for the south end of perth that would be apreciated.

I heard some techs chatting a few weeks ago about the 'hydro one changeout'.... That's all I heard, so I'm not sure what that entails. But now that you mention it, I haven't heard anything on the low band lately either.,..

About the only time they use their radios is when a bunch of trucks are working together.

Dispatch is almost 100% done over cell phones.

I can hear some trucks chatting on 49.430Mhz in the Orillia area.

Mike thats what triggered my curiosity about the lack pof radio traffic, a bunch of trucks and a couple of vans were all working in the same area and we had a temporary road closure.

I guess i will have to find a truck and see if I can capture him on closecall.
