Hello:

I have a NOS (New Old Stock) Pro-2004, however several of the depressable keypad buttons do not work. Everything else is fine. Any tips or suggestions from other 2004 owners "if" this can be fixed? Thanks in advance.

With the power off, 'exercise' each button a couple dozen times. This should cut through any oxidation on the contacts. If some function returns but they're intermittent you may want to exercise them again. If that doesn't help, note whether all of the buttons in one row or one column are not working. If this is the case the problem might be solder issues on the microprocessor board. There are videos on YouTube showing the process to deal with this.
As a last resort if it were mine and since you kinda have nothing to lose, I would <very> carefully try to delaminate the keypad using gentle heat. If you succeed in separating the layers without damage, remove and clean each of the domes and their contacts. Depending on the level of oxidation this would mean anything from DeOxIt on a q-tip to mild metal polish. I would then treat them with Stabilant 22 or at least DeOxIt and reassemble.

The on-off button on my Yaesu FT50 ham radio and some buttons on my old RS Pro92 would not work so I got on Amazon and ordered for $7.99 a assortment of new what look like graffite buttons from " ButtonWerx" ,... There like new contacts, you peel off the sticky tape and stick them on the print board and they worked perfect,...

The buttons on the 2004 are metal domes which make contact with traces on a flexible board, all sealed within layers of plastic keypad, so those would not be an option here.
